Key Responsibilities
As an Institutional Investment Operations Associate, you will:
- Provide operational and customer support for institutional trade lifecycle activities.
- Assist with client account onboarding and cash payment processing.
- Support funding operations, securities settlement, custodial operations, and asset servicing activities.
- Help resolve trade confirmation and ISDA-related issues.
- Gather and analyze data to support issue resolution.
- Work closely with managers and internal teams to achieve operational goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth business operations.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- Graduate, Engineering, or Post Graduate qualification.
- Minimum 6 months of Institutional Investment Operations experience or equivalent through work experience, education, military service, or training.
Preferred Skills
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Understanding of the investment banking and financial services industry.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High attention to detail with an analytical mindset.
- Educational background in Business, Accounts, Economics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
- Experience with FX Spot, FX Options, FX Forwards, and FX Swaps.
- Knowledge of Middle Office Operations, Trade Support, Product Control, or Sales Support.
- Familiarity with Middle Office controls, daily risk reporting, and Profit & Loss (PnL) processes.
- Willingness to work in the US Shift (up to 5:30 PM EST coverage).
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Supporting the complete lifecycle of institutional FX trades.
- Monitoring operational queues and managing trade exceptions.
- Performing trade affirmations, allocations, and validations.
- Conducting T0 blotter checks and internal trade reconciliations.
- Preparing FX position reports for Front Office teams.
- Reconciling MarkitWire, Risk Systems, and CLS data.
- Monitoring Prime Broker matching and external system reconciliations.
- Performing daily Profit & Loss (PnL) reporting and attribution analysis.
- Reconciling realized and unrealized PnL between Front Office and system records.
- Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Supporting ad-hoc operational projects assigned by management.
- Understanding financial products and ensuring compliance with regulations such as Dodd-Frank.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and strengthening risk controls.
- Working collaboratively with business partners to improve operational efficiency.
- Processing large volumes of transactions accurately within established timelines.
- Demonstrating integrity, accountability, and strong teamwork.
