Job Description
Share is looking for a self-driven Network Operation Engineer who can independently monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network operations during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate should be able to identify network issues, resolve common problems, automate repetitive tasks, and escalate critical incidents when required.
You will work closely with senior network engineers while helping improve the overall network infrastructure through proactive monitoring and automation.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance using tools like Zabbix and Grafana.
- Identify and troubleshoot network issues such as BGP failures, latency, and link outages.
- Resolve incidents independently whenever possible.
- Monitor network health and prevent future issues.
- Automate repetitive network tasks using Python, Bash, or automation tools.
- Work with configuration management using Git.
- Update network documentation and maintain the source of truth.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and shift handover notes.
- Escalate major issues to senior engineers when necessary.
- Ensure stable and reliable network operations throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- Strong understanding of CCNA-level networking concepts and beyond.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and BGP.
- Experience using Linux and network device command-line interfaces.
- Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
- Basic scripting knowledge using Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with Git repositories.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to work calmly during network incidents.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNP or MikroTik MTCNA/MTCRE Certification
- Previous NOC, ISP, or Carrier Operations experience
- Experience with MPLS, EVPN, IPv6, and RPKI
- Knowledge of Network Automation tools such as Nautobot, NAPALM, NETCONF, or gNMI
- Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, or Loki
- Exposure to AI/ML-based Network Operations
